I is next to Attarintiki Daredi Shankar-Vikram combo I movie hits the bull eye. The film garnered negative reviews from both film critics and viewers on its opening day. Analysts predicted that the bad word-of-mouth would take a toll on its business on the second day .But holiday's season turned as big advantage and the film performed well on Day 2 also.
The movie did fantastic collections at the AP/T box office on the second day and collected nearly 5 crores. It also gave a tough time to Pawan Kalyan and Venkatesh's "Gopala Gopala'.
I is the second film to collect more than 4.5 crs on day 2 run. Earlier Pawan Kalyan's Attarintiki Daredi collected 5.75 crs share on Day 2 which was an all time record. Now I stood behind AD in terms of Day 2 collections.
The film is still doing good at the domestic market and also very well at the overseas market in its second day. The holidays are making things very easy for the film and it will create wonder if it goes like this way. It has returned 50% of its cost to the bosses of its Telugu version, who have reportedly shelled out ₹30 crore on its theatrical rights.
"I", which is directed by Shankar, has got largely positive response from the Tamil audience but it is getting mixed reviews from the Telugu audience.
