Pic Talk: TTD member Raghavendra Rao tonsures head @Tirumala
We have already reported that senior director K Raghavendra Rao has been nominated as an executive member in the prestigious Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam Board. After electing as board member KRR visited Tirupati to offer prayers to god.
KRR on Tuesday, after his dharshan in Tirumala spoke to the media and said that being elected as the board member of TTD was lord Sri Venkateshwara Swamys' gift to him for making the movie Annamayya. He credited 'Annamayya' movie for his election to the Board now. He promised to serve the devotees with his heart. The director has his head tonsured as "Mokku", an offering to God.
KRR said that he wants to thank Chandrababu Naidu for giving him the opportunity to offer his services to God.The director said that he would keep up to the trust vested in him by the Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu.
Raghavendra Rao has been a supporter of TDP and had even worked as the AP government's Electronic Media Chairman during Chandrababu Naidu's tenure.The most successful commercial director has taken spiritual route since a decade and made many spiritual films like Annamayya, Sri Manjunatha, Sri Ramadau, Shirdi Saibaba etc.
