Ptoducer slaps woman; Surrenders before cops
Hyderabad police arrested Tollywood producer C Kalyan who recently produced Kamal starrer Uttham Villain movie. He has been accused of assaulting a lady doctor identified as Dr Kavitha.Kalyan has surrendered himself at the Police Station this morning. Last week, a lady doctor named Kavitha filed a complaint on Kalyan for allegedly threatening and manhandling her.
Jubilee Hills Police registered case against him according to sections 506,509 and 345 C of IPC and started their investigations after a lady doctor named Kavitha alleged that Kalyan slapped her and assaulted her.
According to a complaint filed by the doctor herself, she had deposited Rs 1.14 crore with the apartments in the Road No 5 of Jubilee Hills towards the compensation amount paid by the Metro Rail. However, Kalyan, who resides in the same apartments, opened a separate account for the amount without informing anyone. When asked, he abused the lady doctor and had even assaulted her.
Following the notice issued by the cops, the producer surrendered himself before the police.The police has also registered the statement of the producer in the police station'and he is expected to grant bail soon.
