Kalyan challenged MAA elections again Here comes sudden twist in MAA elections. Actor O Kalyan who earlier filed a petition in the City Civil Court against the bigwigs in the association on Friday has filed another petition in the City Civil Court complaining some irregularities have taken place in the MAA elections which conducted recently. In the petition he reportedly challenged the election process.
Surprisingly, the court which had earlier rejected Kalyan's petition has now accepted his fresh petition. The Court after responding to the petition has served notices to MAA president Rajendra Prasad; former President of MAA Murali Mohan and Shivaji Raja . The court has asked them to furnish the explanation associated with the allegations made by Kalyan .
Previously a petition filed by the same actor had halted the MAA results. Earlier O Kalyan filed a petition in the city civil court against the irregularities in MAA elections and he approached court citing discrepancies in the MAA polls. He also demanded MAA ex-president Muralimohan to present the accounts of the expenditure incurred.
The court, which heard all arguments, quashed the petition. It also imposed a fine of Rs. 10,000 O Kalyan for wasting the time of the court. For the very first time there were such controversies surrounding the elections. The charges of the present petition are yet to be known
