Actress ends life by slitting throat in Bathroom
A small time actress has been found dead at her rented apartment in Mumbai.The actress was identified as Shika joshi and she was found lying in a pool of blood with a knife lodged inside her throat.
Shikha was found in the bathroom of her friend's home on Saturday with her throat slit in a suspected suicide bid. She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was declared dead. Prima facie, police suspect it to be a case of suicide, however, no suicide note has been recovered from the site.
As per reports Shikha was depressed as she had not found work in a while. Shikha Joshi was a 40-year-old and she was last seen in Ajay Bahl's national award-winning film BA Pass (2012) that also starred Shilpa Shukla. She is said to have essayed small roles in TV shows but did not have sustained work or a consistent source of income.
She returned from Delhi few days back and had been living with a friend since a month. The friend of the actress found something fishy when Joshi didn't open her bathroom door for long. After repeating requests Shikha opened the door but she found lying in a pool of blood.
According to reports, Shikha was also a member of the Aam Admi Party (AAP)
