India's first lesbian ad goes viral
We have seen many commercials till now but this one really takes you into more than a surprise. A commercial created for Anouk Ethnic apparel, featuring a lesbian couple, has gone viral.This is the country's first advertisement showing a lesbian couple. The ad features two young women preparing to meet one of their parents.
The plot shows two lesbian women with one of them getting ready to introduce her girlfriend to her parents. Many are hailing it as a beautiful attempt at showcasing homosexuality in India.It is a delightful ad, capturing the everyday lived-in-ness of this couple elegantly. The ad is a part of the 'Bold and Beautiful' initiative by Myntra to promote the apparel brand Anouk.
And the fact that the video already has more than 30 lakh views within 10 days of its release, proves that the audience, too, is ready to respect personal choices.The ad was conceptualized by famous ad agency Ogilvy & Mather, Bangalore and was produced by Hectic Content.
