17 Crs deal for Baahubali from SONY
The stunning response for S S Rajamouli's Bahubali from all corners of the country has made Rajamouli quite popular even in Bollywood. The movie is touted to have made a huge pre-release business but now news regarding the Satellite rights of Baahubali Hindi version is the hot topic in the cine circles
Buzz is that before the film's release, the satellite rights of Baahuabli Hindi version was being quoted for Rs 10 crores; however, the phenomenal response for the film from Hindi audience changed the whole equation. The latest news is that several media houses competed with each other to bag the satellite rights and the price has skyrocketed.
As per rpeorts the satellite rights of Bahubali Hindi version fetched a cool price of about Rs 17 Crores!This is a bumper amount for a dubbed Telugu film in Bollywood and shows what kind of craze the movie generated in those circles.
Earlier, Rajamouli's 'Eega' obtained Rs 8 crore from the Hindi satellite rights.Including the theatrical business, audio and satellite rights, 'Baahubali - The Beginning' total earnings will certainly be close to Rs 200 crore.
