Directed by Koratalla Siva, the film is supposed to turn the fortunes of Mahesh Babu, whose last film Aagadu did not do well at the box office. Touted to be a family revenge drama, Srimanthudu has Shruti Haasan playing Mahesh Babu's lady love. Sukanya, Rajendra Prasad and Aamani are other prominent cast in the Koratala Siva directorial.
