Pawan responds about 'Pushkaram' Tragedy
Jana sena chief and' actor Power star Pawan Kalyan expressed grief over the tragic Rajahmundry Pushkar ghat incident. The stampede at the ghat'today'morning saw 27 people lose lives and scores of people getting injured. Pawan Kalyan said that though he has the urge to go to Rajahmundry and personally meet the victims and their families he said that he will not as his visit could lead to hampering of the rescue and smooth functioning of the pushkarams.
He, however, appealed to Jana Sena cadres to take part in the help and rescue operations.Temple and pilgrimage stampedes are not new to India. Inadequate arrangements, lack of security measures and acute topographical challenges are the most common causes for the tragedies.
Meanwhile the opposition parties of AP are uproar over TDP government's failure to prevent the incident. The opposition parties are demanding the CM to own the responsibility of the incident and resign from his post.
