Court orders to remove BB scenes Madras high court has ordered makers of Baahubali to chop some scenes in the tamil version of the film which were allegedly hurting the sentiments of Dalits in Tamilnadu.
Few days before some Dalit outfits protested against the film. The group is angry over the way a Dalit community, Arundhadiyar, has been portrayed in the film. Censor board of Chennai passed directions to 'Baahubali' Makers on July 28 to remove those two words which allegedly hurted sentiments of Dalits. Despite of the request from censor board makers have not removed those words. A new petition was filed on' Madras High Court and the counsel of the petitioner said' that his client had watched the film once again on August 15th and found that the two words weren't removed yet.
Now the court has also intervened in to the issue to ensure the scenes were edited out and strictly passed the orders. As per the court orders theatres playing the unedited version will be fined accordingly and court cases will be registered in case of disobeying the order.
