TV actor held for raping, filming and blackmailing married lady
A 23 year old TV actor arrested for allegedly raping an aspiring actress and filming it with his smartphone. Sourabh Sai Sartaj who appeared in many TV serials allegedly lured her on the pretext of helping her secure acting roles in Hindi TV serials and movies. The actor and the victim, who is 15 years older than him, reportedly became friends during a dance show. The lady who was already a mother fell in his trap.
In January, the accused came to the victim's residence. The lady has offered him fruit juice. The actor put sedatives in the juice and raped her. She fell unconscious and taking advantage of the situation, Sourabh then allegedly raped her and recorded the attack on his phone. He later started blackmailing her for money. He continued to seek sexual favors from her whenever he wanted.
The victim, who was extremely disturbed by the developments, did not tell her friends and family of the trauma she faced. The victim hid the facts from her husband, fearing that he would abandon her. The actor also forced her to sell her gold ornaments. The actor managed to extort Rs 15 lakh from her.
However, when the lady ran out of money and was left with no other option to handle the situation, she approached the cops. The victim said the man then raped her repeatedly between mid-January and July, at different reputed hotels in the Bangalore.
After receiving the complaint the police team visited the hotels and found that the actor had booked the rooms in his name. The police have also seized the video footage. The actor, Sourabh Sai Sartaj (23), is now cooling his heels behind bars after the court remanded him in judicial custody.
