Colourful performances enthral audience on day two of AU cultural fest
Visakhapatnam: Andhra University's centenary celebrations continued with a grand cultural fest at the engineering college grounds. Parliament Member M. Sri Bharat, the chief guest, emphasised the need for Andhra University to become a world-class institution, creating new knowledge and producing good citizens.
Sri Bharat praised the students' performances and highlighted his family's connection to the university, saying it was a proud moment for him to be part of the celebrations. He recalled his grandfather being an alumnus of the university, adding a personal touch to the event.
Actor Sivaji, a special guest, advised students to lead a stress-free life, stay away from social media, and avoid intoxicants. He stressed the importance of patience, tolerance, and perseverance, saying these values would lead to success. Sivaji also urged the youth to be honest and not deceive others, emphasising the importance of integrity.
Vice-Chancellor G.P. Rajasekhara highlighted carious programmes being organised as a part of the centenary celebrations. He thanked everyone involved in making the celebrations a success.
The event featured student performances, including captivating dances and melodious music, which left the audience enthralled. The cultural fest also honored students who excelled in national-level competitions, including those who participated in the Republic Day parade as part of the NSS contingent.
The celebration was attended by university officials, faculty members, and students, making it a memorable day for all involved.
