Amazing performance by Blind Students in NJ
Edison, NJ: North America Telugu Society (NATS) pulled off another service initiative with great aplomb from the local community in New Jersey. NATS in partnership with Telugu Fine Arts Society (TFAS) conducted a service initiative for Visually Impaired Children on Gandhi Jayanthi.
In true spirit of service, to help visually impaired, NATS is arranging cultural programs by a phenomenal dance troupe comprised of young visually impaired students of Sri Ramana Maharshi Ashramam for Blind (SRMAB) School from India in all major cities of USA between September 25th and December 5th. Mr.Sreedhar Appasani is coordinating this effort.
TFAS joined hands with NATS for this noble cause in New Jersey. This charity event was conducted on Gandhi Jayanthi weekend in Shri Krishna Vrundavana temple in Edison, NJ. NATS New Jersey Coordinator Mr. Mohan Krishna Mannava planned and captained this effort, with help from TFAS President Mr.Anand Paluri. The event started off with a welcome speech by TFAS Secretary Mrs.Manju Bhargava.
Swaminathan, coordinator of SRMAB tour invited the kids on to the stage and before each dance performance; he briefed the audience about the specifics of each performance.
