TDF celebrates Bathukamma and Dasara in Dallas
Dasara and Jammi celebrations began with Pujaari performing Jammi puuja and people chanted "Samae Samae Yatae paapam ..." and followed with procession and social hour that is unique to Telangana culture.
Organizers and volunteers have helped conduct the Dasara Cup for Criket and Voleyball tournaments and prizes were distributed by the Diginitaries. Dasara Veshalu and Best Bathumma competitions are conducted on the day of the event.
Vendor booths and food stalls are special this time creating the DASARA MELA.
Generous sponsorship from Reddy Neumann PC, Dream Home Mortgage, Ruchi Palace and Skypass Travels and many other Premier sponsors and several other individual donors. Yuva Media, Fun Asia, Eknazar, ReachNRI and TV9 served as the Media Partners for the event.
Various Cultural programs are hosted by Pavan Nellutla and Dr. Kasturi Inaganti.
Indu Reddy, Kalyan Durg, and Sandhya Gavva. Shyama Rumalla, Harini Medicherla, Mahendar Gannavapu and Bhanu Choudary, Dr. Srinivas Gunukula, Raghuveer Bandaru played prominent roles in various capacities and worked for the success of the event.
NMS Reddy and Geeta Dhaman from Tantex falicitated the guests of honor.
All the volunteers, numbering over 80 people worked tirelessly for the event. The DFW Bathukamma Dasara coordinating committee members, Indu Reddy Mandadi, , Karunakar Dasari, Ram Kasarla, Shashi Kanaparthi, Shekhar Brhmadevara, Shyama Rumalla, Srinivas Kuturu and Upendar Budidha thanked all the sponsors, donors and volunteers as well as the attending public as a vote of thanks.
