Tremendous response to 'My Brick'
Vijayawada: 'My Brick - My Amaravati' website started by Chandra Babu Naidu where public can donate symbolic bricks to the construction of new capital city for the State of Andhra Pradesh is receiving enormous response. With in one day 8,81,945 bricks were donated and the number is going up by minute. The website is located at: http://www.amaravati.gov.in
The website home page is getting updated by important donors from time to time. All of the donor details are made online to ensure transparency. One can download the entire list of donations from the website if they want to.
Currently the website is accepting donations from people living in India only. The second day on Friday, after seeing the tremendous response to the website, they posted as message saying: "International payments will be enabled shortly". Now NRIs are eagerly waiting to make their donations as soon as the international payments are enabled.
When TeluguPeople.com team started writing this news item, the number of bricks were 8,81,945 and by the time we finish it, in few minutes, it already reached: 8,90,154!
