APCC leaders meet Guv over Special Status Hyderabad, Oct 17 (INN): Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee leaders called on Governor ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan on Saturday seeking his intervention in registration of cases against TDP and BJP leaders for their failure to grant Special Status for AP.
Speaking to media persons after meeting the Governor, APCC President Dr. N. Raghuveera Reddy said that both TDP and BJP leaders have promised to get Special Status for AP if they win elections. However, they went back on their promise after winning the elections. He said the APCC have lodged police complaints against the TDP and BJP leaders in 813 police stations from 7th to 9th August. However, those complaints were not yet accepted. He said that APCC leaders have urged the Governor to direct the State Police to accept those complaints.
