HM inaugurates news blocks in Chanchalguda Jail
Hyderabad, Oct 23 (INN): Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy inaugurated the new blocks at the Chanchalguda Central Prison here on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Nayani informed that the new blocks were constructed at a cost of Rs. 10 crore. He also denied reports of irregularities in the construction of blocks and also warned of action against newspapers for publishing baseless reports.
Nayani said that some inmates would be released from jail on the occasion of Republic Day on January 26 for good behaviour. He said several progarammes have been initiated for the welfare of prisoners and efforts were being made to resolve their issues.
