CCI has failed to buy cotton: Harish Rao Hyderabad, Oct 23 (INN): Marketing Minister T. Harish Rao alleged that the Cotton Corporation of India has failed to purchase cotton from the farmers of Telangana.
Speaking to media persons after visiting the Adilabad Market Yard along with Minister Jogu Ramanna and Indrakaran Reddy here, Harish asked the CCI to buy the cotton at Minimum Support Price. He said a representation would be made with the Central Government to ensure the purchase of cotton at the MSP.
Harish Rao said that the paddy and maize would be purchased through Markdfed at the prescribed MSP. He alleged that the previous Congress Government has failed to complete a single project in Adilabad during its 10-year rule which pushed the district backward by 50 year. He said that the TRS Government was focusing on completion of irrigation.
