Warangal polls will be referendum for Govt: CPM Hyderabad, Oct 25 (INN): CPI (M) State President T. Veerabhadram has stated that the by-elections for Warangal Lok Sabha seat would be a referendum on TRS Government in Telangana State.
Addressing the State's plenary session in Nagarjuna Sagar on Sunday, Veerabhadram said that all sections of the society were unhappy with the performance of TRS Government. He said instead of fulfilling the election promises, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has been wasting public money on other programmes, which are less important. He alleged that KCR has been acting like a dictator and the CPI (M) would launch a movement against the dictatorial attitude of the Chief Minister. An action plan is being prepared to launch a mass agitation against the TRS Government, he said.
Senior leader BV Raghuvulu, in his speech, slammed KCR and his Andhra Pradesh counterpart N. Chandrababu Naidu for pursuing 'anti-people' policies. He said instead of taking up welfare of different sections, both the Chief Ministers look more inclined towards foreign tours. He said despites hundreds of farmers committing suicide, the State Governments have failed to clear the crop loan dues.
