Congress leaders held for anti-Modi campaign Hyderabad, Oct 25 (INN): Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Dr. N. Raghuveera Reddy and other leaders were taken into custody for carrying out Bihar election campaign at Secunderabad Railway Station on Sunday.
Led by Raghuveera Reddy, about 100 Congress activists tried to approach the passengers of Patna Express at the Secunderabad Railway Station and appealed them to vote against Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party in Bihar polls. Speaking to media persons, the APCC chief said that the Prime Minister has failed to give Special Status for Andhra Pradesh despite promising the same in last elections. Similarly, he said Modi's announcement of Rs. 1 lakh crore package for Bihar was aimed at luring voters. He said that the NDA could not be trusted.
Meanwhile, the Congress leaders and activists were arrested and were told that no one was permitted to run election campaign in trains. They were let off later by the police.
