Underworld Don Chhota Rajan Arrested One Of India's most wanted gangster Chhota Rajan, the underworld don wanted for over two decades for a series of murders in India, has been arrested in Indonesia. The 55-year-old gangster, born Rajendra Sadashiv Nikalje, was arrested on the CBI's request by Indonesian cops.
Chotta Rajan arrested in one of island of Indonesia. The arrest of Chhota was happened on the tip off from Australia Interpol officers. CBI and union home minister Rajnath Singh also confirmed the arrest of Chhota Rajan, a fugitive wanted in India in connection with several offences.
Born in Mumbai, Rajan is wanted for multiple charges including murder and possession and use of illegal firearms. More than 17 murder cases and attempting murder cases were registered on Chhota Rajan.
Rajan began his career in crime by black marketing movie tickets in the 1970s. He started as a petty thief and worked under Rajan Nair, also known as Bada Rajan. Chhota Rajan took over the reins of Bada Rajan's gang after Bada Rajan's murder.
Later, he was affiliated with and operated at the behest of Dawood Ibrahim gang in Mumbai and eventually fled India to Dubai in 1988. He parted ways with Dawood Ibrahim in 1996 after the'bombings.In'2000, there was an attempt on Chhota Rajan by Dawood gang and he escaped through the hotel's roof. Chhota Rajan is likely to be deported to India soon. Rajan had been living in Australia under another identity.
