Congress thanks ECI for sending teams
Hyderabad, Oct 30 (INN): Congress senior leader Marri Shashidhar Reddy on Friday thanked Election Commission of India for sending Central teams to probe into the deletion of nearly six lakh names from electoral rolls of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.
Speaking to media persons here, Shashidhar Reddy alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao had tried to manipulate the electoral processes by forcing the officials to delete the names of electors who could vote against the TRS in the forthcoming GHMC elections. However, by ordering a probe, the ECI has proved that no one could derail the country's electoral system. He expressed confidence that the allegations levelled by him would be proved during the ECI's probe.
