Telangana Singer Madhupriya Ties Knot After High Drama
The wedding drama of the popular folk singer from Telangana, Madhupriya ended on a happy note this evening. Madhupriya married her lover in a traditional manner at Kagaznagar town in Adilabad district.
Going into details singer Madhupriya who became quite popular during the Telangana movement with the' song 'Adapillanamma' was in love with a guy named Srikanth. Love blossomed between Madhupriya and Srikanth while they lived in Hyderabad. The duo decided to get married in Adilabad, grooms place, on Friday morning after the approval of Boy's parents. Madu Priya parents objected the marriage saying she was too young to marry and' approached police regarding this. Her family members urged her to postpone her marriage for six months.
Madhupriya's parents went to Srikanth's house after knowing about the marriage' and tried to kidnap her. Following this Madhupriya and Srikanth lodged complaint against the parents with Kagaznagar police.
Police and Madhupriya's parents tried to counsel the young lovers as they are still in a tender age and the singer had barely became a major. But reportedly, Madhupriya was stubborn and determined to get hitched with her lover only.
The singer was staying with her would in-laws as she turned major a month back. DSP Chakravarthi intervened and counselled family members and offered protection to the couple.
