Indira Gandhi's death, Sardar Patel's birth anniversaries today
The Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Congress Committees would observe the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on Saturday.
The TPCC and APCC have organised separate programmes at Gandhi Bhavan and Indira Bhavan respectively wherein tributes would be paid to Indira Gandhi. The Congress will also celebrate the birth anniversary of former Union Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
The Bharatiya Janata Party will celebrate the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel at a grand scale. It has organised a Run for National Unity in the city on Saturday. Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju, Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatraya, Telangana BJP President G. Kishan Reddy and other senior leaders will participate in the celebrations.
