Janardhan Reddy assumes charge as GHMC Commissioner
Hyderabad, Oct 31 (INN): Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy has assumed charge as Commissioner & Special Officer of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) here on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, Janardhan Reddy said that he would coordinate with the Heads of various departments and other officials to deliver the best of services to the citizens of Hyderabad. He said that the GHMC would strive hard to make Hyderabad as the clean and green city. He said special focus would be laid on sanitation, proper lifting of garbage, maintenance of roads and other basic amenities.
Senior officials including Additional Commissioners, Zonal Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners and the Heads of various wings of GHMC, staff, drivers Union Members have welcomed the new Commissioner at the GHMC Head Office.
The outgoing Commissioner, Somesh Kumar, said that the city was moving in the right direction to emerge as the global city. He thanked the officials, staff and media for their cooperation during his two-year stint as the GHMC Commissioner.
