YSRCP names Surya Prakash for Warangal by-polls
Hyderabad, Nov 3 (INN): The YSR Congress Party has named N. Surya Prakash as its candidate for the by-elections to Warangal Lok Sabha seat which will be held on November 21.
Making the announcement here on Tuesday, YSRCP Telangana unit president P. Srinivas Reddy denied allegations by other opposition parties that the YSRCP was trying to help the ruling TRS in winning by-elections. He said that the YSRCP was ready to field a common candidate of opposition parties against the TRS.
Srinivas Reddy claimed that the former Chief Minister Dr. Y.S. Rajashekar Reddy had a special liking for Warangal and for the same reason, people of Warangal would vote in favour of YSRCP candidate. He said that the party would contest the elections on the basis of welfare schemes implemented by YSR during his stint ast the Chief Minister of the then united Andhra Pradesh.
