Congress fields Sarve Satyaranarayana for by-polls Hyderabad, Nov 4 (INN): The Congress party has replaced Sircilla Rajaiah with Sarve Satyanarayana as its candidate for the by-election to Warangal Lok Sabha seat.
The decision was taken following suspicious death of Rajaiah's daughter-in-law and her three sons in a fire incident at his house in the wee hours of Wednesday. Rajaiah himself conveyed to the Congress High Command that he would not be contesting the by-elections. According to sources, Rajaiah spoke to TPCC Chief N. Subsequently, Uttam spoke to AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh and proposed the name of Sarve Satyanarayana.
Uttam Kumar Reddy himself carried the B-form to Warangal and handed it over to Sarve at the time of filing nomination. Later, the Congress leaders met Cheif Electoral Officer Bhanwarlal in Hyderabad and informed him about replacement of party's candidate.
