AWWA past President visits HMWSSB office Hyderabad, Nov 5 (INN): Nilaksh Kothari, Past President of American Water Works Association visited the HMWSSB office on Thursday and given presentation on 15,000 Miles apart 'Droughts, Similarities in issues between California and Indian states'.
He has shared, how they have addressed the drought situation in California State without compromising the quality of water that too7 x 24 water supply. He emphasized, that the public representatives will play a vital role in bringing awareness among the consumers for effective use of scare resource.
D. Hanumantha Chary, Former Chairman of Indian Institute of Engineers said that, Indian water sector is facing many challenges. Efficient and sustainable water management. AWWA opened its AWWA India office for the first time outside North America in Mumbai on 1st July this year with an aim to support Indian Water professionals in addressing these challenges. Initially Er. Rameshwar Rao Director Operations HMWSSB has presented an over view of operations of HMWSSB. Er. M Sathyanarayana, Executive Director and all other directors of HMWSSB along with engineers attached with operations have participated.
