AP CS reviews 'Nadikudi - Srikalahasti' railway line Hyderabad, Nov 6 (INN): Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary I.Y.R. Krishna Rao convened a meeting today with the Railways and Transport, Roads and Buildings Departments officers and through video conference with the District Collectors of Guntur, Prakasam and Nellore to review on the progress of new railway line between 'Nadikudi - Srikalahasti' and new National Highway Road Project between Nagarjuna Sagar and Erpedu.
Joint Collector, Guntur informed that advance possession of land will be handed over to Railway authorities by 15th December. A total of 688 acres of land acquired in 14 villages in Guntur District for this railway line and there is no issue of compensatory a forestation land in Guntur District.
Alienation fixation is completed in Prakasam District. District Collector Nellore informed that joint survey for 2900 acres of land is completed and patta land survey is pending in the District. Detailed notifications for the railway line are ready for publication. Chief Secretary issued instructions to the District Collector Nellore to complete the survey works within a month.
National Highway Project between Nagarjuna Sagar and Erpedu discussed in the meeting. Chief Secretary issued instructions to the District Collectors that as the Road way connected through Guntur, Prakasam and Nellore Districts to co-ordinate with National Highway authorities and with the Departments concerned to complete the project. Chief Secretary also suggested the TR&B Officials to nominate a Nodal Officer to monitor the National Highway Road Project.
Advisor to Government, Railway Projects P. Srivastava, Spl. Chief Secretary TR&B B. Sam Bob and other officers attended the meeting.
