Elaborate arrangements for Satya Sai Baba's birth anniversary Hyderabad, Nov 7 (INN): As the delegates across the world from over 126 countries are likely to be attended the 90th Birth Day Celebrations of Bhagawan Satya Sai Baba and 10th World Conference going to be held in this month, at Prasanthi Nilayam, Puttaparthi, Ananthapuramu District, the District Officials should check all the arrangements carefully for the event, Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary I.Y.R. Krishna Rao said.
The Chief Secretary convened a meeting to review the arrangements being made by various Government Departments for the smooth conduct of 90th Birth Day Celebrations of Bhagawan Satya Sai Baba and 10th World Conference. Hindupur MP Nimmala Kisttappa and Minister for Information & Public Relations Dr. Palle Raghunatha Reddy, Dist. Collector Ananthapuramu K. Sasidhar participated in the meeting through a video conference.
Krishna Rao directed the District Collector for properly identifying the works and to make arrangements viz., Transport, Accommodation, Sanitation, Drinking Water, uninterrupted power supply and said that the occasion to be celebrated in a historic manner.
The Chief Secretary issued instructions the R & B and Municipal Officials that all the leading roads towards Puttaparthi along with internal roads to got repaired and should be well maintained. Transport officials informed that they are providing RTC buses synchronizing them with other transport modes i.e. connecting to Railway Stations and Airport.
Rayalaseema Inspector General of Police V. Venu Gopala Krishna, who attended the meeting at A.P. Secretariat, informed that all the security arrangements are being made by installing CC cameras at all the important areas.
Siva Prasad, CPTM, South Central Railways (SCR) informed that the SCR was making arrangements viz., from 14th to 30th November for trains passing through Satya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam (SSPN) Station will be halted, extra coaches are providing to these trains and three special trains will be operated during the event.
Sasidhar informed that all the Departments are participating actively in the event. Mobile toilets in important places are being arranged. Medical camps will be conducted at all the alighting points to control the viral diseases.
As suggested by the Minister I&PR, Krishna Rao directed the Water Resources Department Officials to take up Check Dam (Chitravati) along with beautification works with a cost of Rs. 15 crores, immediately.
