Gutha proposes conversion of constituencies into districts
Hyderabad, Nov 14 (INN): Congress MP Gutha Sukhender Reddy has proposed that the all Parliamentary constituencies in Telangana State should be turned into Districts.
Gutha submitted a letter to Chief Secretary Dr. Rajiv Sharma at the State Secretariat here on Saturday. Speaking to media persons later, he said that Telangana was facing acute financial crisis and therefore, the State's chequer should not be burdened further by creation of new districts. Instead, he advised that all 17 Parliamentary constituencies should be converted into districts.
When asked for reaction on comments of former PCC chief M. Satyanarayana Rao praising Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, Gutha said MSR has quit active politics long ago and he is not fully aware of KCR's politics. He said MSR's remarks should not be taken seriously.
