Maoists Kidnapped Six TRS leaders Just before the Warangal By elections Ruling TRS party of Telangan state has received a death blow. Throwing a challenge to the state government ahead of Warangal Lok Sabha by-elction, Maoists in Telangana's Khammam district have abducted six leaders of the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS).
The local leaders of TRS were kidnapped by the cadre of the Communist Party of India-Maoist in Pusuguppa village in Charla mandal of the district.The village is just a few kilometers away from the border with Chhattisgarh.
Gun wielding Maoists reportedly took Bhadrachalam TRS in-charge Ramakrishna and five others. Ramakrishna contested on TRS ticket in the general election from Bhadrachalam.
Remaining four were party's Charla Mandal ex-president Patel Venkateshwara Rao, ex-secretary Santapuri Suresh Kumar, party's Vajedu mandal president Dattakatla Janardhan, Venkatapuram Mandal party president Satyanarayana and ex-sarpanch Ramakrishna.
Maoists left a letter asking the government to stop fake encounters and combing operations in forests.The Maoist outfit demanded the government take action against policemen involved in the recent killings of two Maoists in Warangal district.
