Gali Janardhan Reddy Arrested Again Mining Don and former kingpin of Karanataka state politics Gali Janardhan Reddy again landed behind bars. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Friday arrested Karnataka mining baron and former BJP minister Gali Janardhan Reddy. He was arrested after summoned by the SIT an dth earrest was taken place for his alleged involvement in the illegal export of iron ore from Belekeri port on the state's west coast.
Mr Reddy, who is out on bail in OMC case, was arrested when he appeared before the SIT in response to summons for questioning.
"Yes, we have arrested Janardhan Reddy for illegal mining case involving his Black Gold Iron Ore Mines and Minerals company. He was arrested here'todayafter he was summoned for interrogation. He has been arrested on charges of illegal extraction and transportation of iron ore " A higher SIT official informed
Janardhana Reddy was first rrested on'5 September 2011'by the CBI, and taken to Hyderabad. He is accused of being involved in illegal mining of iron ore in Bellary in Karnataka and Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh. The Supreme Court, on this year January 20, had granted bail to Mr Reddy, an accused in the illegal mining case involving his Obalapuram Mining Company.
