Godavari Water supplied to residents
Hyderabad, Nov 29 (INN): The Godavari water was successfully supplied to residents of Quthubullapur Municipal Circle area on Sunday with commissioning of the 1800 mm dia M.S. pipeline upto the National high way at Kukatpally after scouring the scour points provided for that purpose.
At present as part of Trail Run 28 MGD of water is being drawn from Godavari Water Supply Scheme. Out of which 18 MGD will be given to Quthbullapur , 6 MGD will be given to Kukatpally Housing Board and 4 MGD will be given to Alwal through the off takes provided from the Main Line.
The water supplied through this pipe line may contain slight turbidity for few days initially. The water is suitable for all general purposes and may be boiled and filtered or any disinfection method may be used before consumption for Drinking Purpose. Residents of the mentioned areas are requested to note and take proper precaution.
From Monday onwards, the water drawls from Manjira barrage will be reduced to 10 MGD from earlier drawls of 40 MGD and the drawls of 10 MGD are for the villages and Institutions located in Medak District.
