APCC leaders to meet PM on Special Status issue Hyderabad, Dec 4 (INN): Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) Vice-President Dr. S. Sailajanath informed that a delegation of Congress leaders would meet Prime Minister Narender Modi in New Delhi soon seeking Special Status for Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking to media persons here on Friday, Sailajanath said that the delegation would carry a letter of AICC president Sonia Gandhi to the Prime Minister wherein he would be reminded of assurance given by previous UPA regime on giving Special Status to AP. He also accused Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of not discontinuing the welfare schemes launched by the previous Congress regime. He demanded that all pending houses under Indiramma Housing scheme be completed at the earliest. Else, he threatened that the Congress party would launch a massive agitation.
