Nagender will not leave Congress: Bhatti Hyderabad, Dec 6 (INN): TPCC Working President Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has expressed confidence that Greater Hyderabad Congress president Danam Nagender would stay with the Congress party.
Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan on Sunday, Bhatti said Nagender has been associated with the Congress party for a long time and had served on many posts. He said Nagender had played a major role in strengthening the party in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. He said it was not advisable for Nagender to quit Congress and join any other party.
Bhatti completely dismissed all rumours of Nagender's exit from the Congress party and described them as mere speculation by the media. He said Nagender himself has denied those rumours several times.
The Congress leader slammed Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao for encouraging defection in opposition parties. He said KCR has been resorting to all unethical means to win MLC elections. Citing an instance, he said TRS has fielded a candidate from a district where it has just 10 votes.
