Harish Rao promises 2BHK houses for Hammalis Hyderabad, Dec 9 (INN): Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao has promised to extend 2BHK housing facility to the Hammalis working in different agricultural market yards.
Harish Rao was speaking after inaugurating the Rest Room for Hammalis and storage godowns for vegetables at Bowenpally Market Yard here on Wednesday. Both the facilities have constructed at a cost of Rs. 2.5 crore. Commercial Taxes Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav and Excise Minister T. Padma Rao were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Harish Rao announced that a storage room would be constructed in Bowenpally Market Yard at a cost of Rs. 9 crore. He said first aid centres would be established at all market yards in the Telangana State and all Hammalis would get an insurance cover of Rs. 2 lakh. He also announced exemption of tax for all vehicles carrying vegetables to Bowenpally Market Yard.
