EC Issued Notices To KCR & KTR The Election Commission has issued a notice to TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao and his son IT minister KTR for allegedly breaching election code ahead of MLC polls.
The poll authority, acting on complaints received by it, issued notice to Rao and his son and asked him to send a reply with in next 48 hours. The Commission in the notices raised objection over KCR making promises to the Khammam district leaders in the CM Camp office. It also found fault with KTR for presenting Shawls to the leaders in secretariat.
The EC, which went through the complaints of the opposition party leaders, felt that the chief minister's comments amounted to violation of the model code of conduct. The EC, in its notice, asked the Chief Minister to give an explanation soon.
However the show-cause notices being served by Commission on the political leaders on the charges of violation of model code of conduct have become just an eye-wash with no concrete actions being taken against the violators.
