Notification on reservation of GHMC wards
Hyderabad, Dec 11 (INN): The Telangana Government on Friday issued notification fixing the number of wards reserved for members belonging to Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes and Women in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).
As per the notification, of 150 wards, as many as 50 wards have been reserved for Backward Classes (BCs) with 25 each in General and Women categories, 44 for Women (General), 10 seats for Scheduled Castes including five for SC women and two seats for Scheduled Tribes including one for ST women. A total of 44 seats are in unreserved category, according to the notification issued by Special Chief Secretary M.G. Gopal.
