BJP accuses TRS of encouraging defections Hyderabad, Dec 12 (INN): BJP floor leader in Telangana Legislative Assembly Dr. K. Lakshman on Saturday accused the ruling Telangana Rastra Samithi of encouraging largescale defections in opposition parties.
Speaking to media persons in Assembly premises here, Lakshman said that the ruling party has been luring leaders of opposition parties with money or intimidating them to support TRS candidates in the ongoing MLC elections. He alleged that the TRS has no trust on Constitution or democracy. He also alleged of violation of protocol in foundation stone laying ceremonies of 2BHK houses in the city. He said a junior minister like K. Tarakarama Rao was given preference over Union Minister Bandaru Dattatraya, Deputy Chief Minsiter Mohammed Mahmood Ali and Home and Hyderabad-incharge Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy. He said that the BJP would lodge a formal complaint with Chief Secretary Dr. Rajiv Sharma on this issue.
Dr. Lakshman also asked the GHMC to correct discrepancies in the reservation of GHMC wards for SCs and STs
