Polling for six MLC seats on Dec 27 Hyderabad, Dec 12 (INN): Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwarlal informed that polling for six out of 12 MLC seats under Local Authorities' Constituencies (LACs) will be held on December 27.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Bhanwarlal said that the TRS candidates have unanimously won from two seats of Karimnagar and one seat each of Adilabad, Nizamabad, Medak and Warangal district LACs. Now the polling will be held for remaining six seats in four districts of Telangana on December 27. Five candidates are in fray for two seats of Ranga Reddy district and five aspirants would be contesting for one seat of Nalgonda LAC. There are four candidates for the lone MLC seat in Khammam.
Bhanwarlal said that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and Panchayat Raj Minister K. Tarakarama Rao were served notices for violation of Model Code of Conduct and they have sent their replies to the Election Commission of India.
