Woman Used Coat Hanger To Abort Pregnancy
In a gruesome incident a Tennessee woman was charged with murder attempt after she tried to abort herself using a coat hanger in the bath tub in her home. The incident came into light when the mother 31 year sold Anna Yocca went to a hospital in Murfreesboro after she was bleeding excessively.
Anna Yocca, 31 filled a bath with water then tried to self abort. But she began bleeding heavily and became worried about her safety and alerted her boy friend.
Her boyfriend then took her to hospital and doctors delivered the baby at just 24 weeks, weighing 1.5lbs.Doctors told investigator the child will need medical support for the rest of his life because of the injuries he sustained to the lungs, heart and eyes during the abortion attempt. .Yocca is due in court on December 21.
Anna Yocca was indicted on charges of attempted first-degree murder and booked into the Rutherford County jail.
