ECI appoints Special Observers for MLC elections
Hyderabad, Dec 14 (INN): The Election Commission of India has appointed Special Observers to oversee process for MLC elections under Local Authorities Constituencies.
The ECI has appointed ECI Secretary K.D.K. Verma and Principal Secretary R.K. Srivastava as Special Observer for Nalgonda and Khammam LACs. Similarly Deputy Secretary CEO Bihar Sanjay Kumar and Jammu & Kashmir CEO Shant Manu have been appointed as Special Observer for Ranga Reddy and Mahabubnagar LACs. They will visit these constituencies from 14th to 27th December.
The Special Observers will keep watch on overall poll process relating to the conduct of MLC election, expenditure incurred by the candidates, Law and Order situation, violation of Model Code of Conduct and the complaints.
