IT seized Rs 18 Cr from T TDP MLA Here comes another shocking news for Telugu Desam party in Telangana state. IT officials reportedly Seizes Rs 18 Crores from TDP Mahaboobnagar district MLA Rajender Reddy.
The Income-Tax department on Wednesday night conducted raids on the house of Narayanpet MLA Rajender Reddy. Raids were conducted simultaneously on several properties belonging to Rajender Reddy in Mahbubnagar, Hyderabad, and Raichur in Karnataka.
The MLA has an educational institute, Navodaya mediacl College in Raichur and he has a house in Raichur too. It is learnt that nearly 30 IT officials from Gulbarga and Bangalore conducted simultaneous raids on his house and his office as well.
According to sources, around Rs18 crore cash was recovered from various properties belonging to TDP MLA Rajender Reddy. Rajendar had declared his assets as Rs 29 crore during the 2014 elections in his affidavit filed with the Election Commission.
The raids on MLA'S house have assumed significance as they came just before MLC elections in telanagan. In the last MLC elections, TDP MLA Revanth Reddy was caught bribing Anglo-Indian nominated MLA Stephenson to lure him to vote in his party's favour
