Congress protest is insult of judiciary: Dattaraya
Hyderabad, Dec 19 (INN): Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatraya has strongly criticised the Congress party for organising nationwide protest in connection with court hearing of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald case on Saturday.
Speaking to media persons here, Dattaraya described the protest by Congress party as immoral. He said that the judiciary was completely independent in India and the BJP Government at the Centre never interfered in its affairs. He said that the Congress protest was aimed at shielding the mistakes committed by its leaders in the past. He said instead of organising protest on streets, the Congress leaders must prove their innocence in the court.
Dattaraya said Subramanian Swamy had filed the case in National Herald issue to protect the interest of its share holders and the BJP had no personal interest in the case. He also slammed the Congress MPs for stalling the Parliament on the issue. He said important Bills including GST and the Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Amendment Bill could not be taken due to protest by Congress MPs.
He also informed that the Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) would launch its social media network channels and a mobile App on December 25 on the occasion of Good Governance Day to mark the birthday of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
