TPCC holds protest against BJP Govt Hyderabad, Dec 19 (INN): Congress leaders and workers held strong protests across the Telangana State on Saturday against the BJP Government's alleged 'vendetta politics' targeting AICC President Sonia Gandhi and Vice-President Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald case.
The Congress workers held dharnas, 'Rasta Roko' and burnt the effigy of Prime Minsiter Narender Modi at varoius places in the State. Several leaders including TPCC President N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, Greater Hyderabad Congress president Danam Nagender and ex-MP M. Anjan Kumar Yadav were arrested for holding protest at Necklace Road. The Congress workers assembled at the statue of Indira Gandhi and raised slogans against the BJP Government. They were arrested when they tried to take out a rally.
The Congress workers also held protest at Ranga Reddy District Collectorate. While Leader of Opposition in Assembly K. Jana Reddy led the protest in Nalgonda, LoP in Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir participated in the protest in Nizamabad district.
