Age limit for police jobs raised Hyderabad, Dec 21 (INN): The Telangana Government decided to raise the upper age limit by three years for the ensuing direct recruitment in various categories of posts to be notified by the Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board.
"A number of representations have been received from unemployed youth and also from the Public representatives for considering relaxation of upper age limit for direct recruitment in Police department to enable more unemployed youth to become eligible to compete in the recruitment process of Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board and the matter has been referred to the Cabinet Sub-Committee and the Sub-Committee reviewed the matter and made certain recommendations," Principal Secretary (Home) Rajiv Trivedi said in the G.O.MS.No. 86 issued on Monday. The Director General of Police too has submitted his recommendations on November 7 this year for raising the upper age limit for direct recruitment to the uniformed posts in Police department, Special Protection Force, Fire Services and Prisons department through Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board.
This relaxation would be applicable for all direct recruitment by TSLPRB to be done during the next one year.
