Governors, Pawar attend 'Chandi Yagam' Hyderabad, Dec 26 (INN): Telangana and AP Governor ESL Narasimhan, Tamil Nadu Governor K. Rosaiah, NCP supremo Sharad Pawar and several other personalities on Saturday attended the ongoing 'Ayutha Chandi Maha Yagam' being performed by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at his farm house in Erravelli of Medak district.
Among those who participated in the Yagnam include Governor Narasimhan and his wife Vimala Narasimhan, Supreme Court Judge Justice N.V. Ramana, former SC judge Justice Sudarshan Reddy, ex-CJ of Tamil Nadu HC Justice Subhashan Reddy, ex-judges Swaroop Reddy and Gopal Reddy, Hyderabad HC judge Naveen Rao and Raj Shekhar Reddy, former Union Minister Sharad Pawar, former ministers Dr. J. Geetha Reddy and D. Nagender, Congress leader T Subbarami Reddy, BJP MLA NVSS Prabhakar and TTD Joint Executive Officer Srinivas Raju.
Film personalities Rajender Prasad, Shivaji Raja, Shiva Reddy, senior editor K. Ramchander Moorthy, TV-5 Chairman D.R Naidu, State Ministers and TRS MPs and legislators were also present on the occasion.
President Pranab Mukherjee is expected to attend the 'yagam' on the last day on Sunday, according to a press release from the Chief Minister's office. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is also likely to attend the event on Sunday.
Meanwhile, KCR has accepted a traditional dress sent by Sri Sri Sri Bharathi Teeratha Swami of Sharangiri Peetham of Karnataka and he would wear the same on the last day of the yagnam.
