CRDA Releases Master Plan Draft Notification For AP Capital The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) released the details of a comprehensive master plan for the state's new capital city Amaravati. 'Detailed Master Plan of Capital City (DMPCC)' released in a 350 pages document and CRDA sought suggestions on the draft plan from public within 30 days.
According to the proposals, the capital city will be developed in an area of 217 Sq Kms, under Tulluru, Tadepalli and Mangalagiri mandals falling under Guntur district. A total of 25 villages in the area, as per the DMPCC, will be developed around nine economic theme cities. The public may also send their objections and suggestions either by post or by e-mail.
The capital city has been divided into nine small areas as dedicated to government, financial, tourist, knowledge, health, electronics, media, justice and sports activities. The capital region is of 8,603.32 sq kms which consists of 54 revenue mandals (tehsils) in both Guntur and Krishna districts and the capital city has only 217 sq kms.
