Congress leaders discuss agenda for GHMC elections Hyderabad, Jan 3 (INN): The Telangana Congress leaders on Sunday discussed the tentative agenda for the forthcoming GHMC elections.
All top leaders including TPCC President N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, Working President Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Leaders of Opposition K. Jana Reddy (Assembly) and Mohammed Ali Shabbir (Council), MPs V. Hanumantha Rao and Gutha Sukhender Reddy, P. Sabitha Indira Reddy, Mukesh Goud, Sarve Satyanarayana, Nandi Yellaiah, Balram Naik, Anil Kumar Yadav and others attended the meeting at Gandhi Bhavan on Sunday.
Addressing the meeting, the TPCC chief said that the party would contest the next elections on the basis of contribution of previous Congress regimes in development of Hyderabad, failures of TRS Government and opportunistic politics of MIM. He said that the Congress party would contest the GHMC elections alone and expressed confidence of winning them. He dismissed the surveys conducted by some television channels which predicted victory of TRS. He said making predictions even before the announcement of reserved seats was too premature.
